One Handed Fingerspelling Alphabet
spacer1 Handed Fingerspelling
1 handed fingerspelling is used by some sign languages in the same way that BSL uses the 2 handed alphabet.
Examples of languages that use the 1 handed system include American Sign Language (ASL), Irish Sign Language, and many European sign languages.
Some BSL books refer to the 1 handed hand shapes when describing how to form signs.
